suppose we go to the store we always say, give Colgate so, is this is right? of course not instead of this we can tell about give toothpaste.  so, the main market strategy of  Colgate is a marketing thing.

But what if someone tells you to use Colgate products with the brand name Colgate in the kitchen? The same happened in the US when Colgate launched its frozen food products with the brand name Colgate kitchen entrees in 1982.

The company targets working mothers and college students to sell their ready-to-eat meals, and they used the same name 'Colgate to exploit its popularity.

The thoughts are that people can eat Colgate's meals then brush their teeth with Colgate's toothpaste afterward. perfect.

Colgate has done incredibly well in toothpaste and dental care products and they are a leader in this segment, But food is an emotion.

The word Colgate reminds people of bathroom accessories and hence their minds hesitate to accept the same brand as estables.

As a result customers didn't accept the product and it failed miserably due to the emotional connection of customers towards a brand
